Description:
Designed specifically for the 'horse crazy' homeschool student ages 5-14 years old. This program will teach the basics of all around horsemanship including safety, grooming, handling, nutrition, health maintenance and basic equine anatomy. Classes will also include lectures, hands on educational activities and handouts about horses. Students will learn about horse science, horse vocabulary words and figure the cost of owning a horse. Upon class completion students will have a realistic outlook on the responsibility and cost of owning a horse or pony. English and Western tacking and riding techniques are taught.

Each student will have their own horse or pony for one hour twice per week for 4 weeks or 2 hours once per week for 4 weeks for a total of 8 hours. Come join the fun and learn how to care for, ride and simply enjoy the world of horses! So come out with your family or your best homeschooling friends and enjoy this class together for fun and education. Many of our homeschool students use this class for their P.E. time and many parents use this class as a schoolwork motivator! Upon conclusion of each course, each student will receive a Certificate of Completion and a gift certificate for one free 'private' riding lesson.

To Enroll
A signed emergency consent form and waiver of liability must be turned in before any student may ride. Ensure all custodial parents sign and date and mail, or bring the form to the first lesson along with your payment.
