Balance must come from every aspect of the horse, working in unity to completely balance this beautiful animal. The mind, muscles, joints, tissues, bones, organs, cells -- the complete structure of this magnificent creature must beat in unity, in great harmony, in order to achieve Balance.

And that is why I, Joanne K. Miller created The Balanced Horse. I strive, through my services, to create a complete, centered, well adjusted harmonious horse -- which equates to The Balanced Horse. A well balanced horse deserves a well balanced rider upon his back and that is why I went on to create The Balanced Equestrian.

It is my desire to help today's horse and rider achieve their goals. No matter the discipline, or the equine sport, today's equestrian reaches for the same goal: Fluidity, harmony between horse and rider. Moving as one or as I say "Two heart beats, one body in motion".

The Balanced Equestrian curriculum is structured with individual goals as well as individual level achievements, encompassing western and/or English disciplines, from the beginner equestrian building new found confidence to the experienced equestrian dealing with recovering confidence after a riding accident.
